The present invention addresses the problem of providing a feeding control system and a feeding control method that enable providing a dairy cow (pre-parturition cow) having a high risk of developing post-parturition disorders (e.g., ketosis) with a feed suitable for prevention of said disorders without having to put the cow in isolation. A free-stall feeding system of an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a central management device； a portable communication terminal to be carried by a person in charge of a cowshed； a network； a transmitter； a reader； and a trespassing control system. The central management device is capable of communicating with the reader and the trespassing control system via the network. A control unit of the central management device is primarily provided with an assessment unit, a selection unit, a feeding information acquisition unit, a device information acquisition unit, and a control information transmission unit. The assessment unit assesses the risk of a dairy cow developing post-parturition disorders by using, for example, the blood amino acid level and/or test values of biochemical parameters of the pre-parturition cow.
