PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the lifetime of a gas removing filter while keeping trapping performance for gaseous chemical substance always excellent without wasting a trapping agent.SOLUTION: An air cleaning device includes: an air flow passage 1 through which air to be cleaned Air passes a gas removing filter 2 which is arranged halfway in the air flow passage 1, and removes gaseous chemical substance to be removed and a trapping agent adjusting device 5 which adjusts a trapping agent 4 to be supplied to the gas removing filter 2. The gas removing filter 2 has a trapping agent holding section 3 capable of holding the trapping agent 4 at a predetermined region.
