The present invention relates to liquid milk products having a pH of at least 5.0 comprising- at least 0.9% (w/w) GOS,- at most 1.5% (w/w) lactose,- a total content of monosaccharide of at most 3.0% (w/w), and- a weight ratio between glucose and galactose of least 2: 1and powdered compositions obtained therefrom.Preferably, the compositions comprise a low amount of furosine.
