According to the present invention, a method for reducing sidelobe in an ultrasonic image includes: a first step of receiving an ultrasonic signal reflected at an image point by a receiving device of each array transducer, and outputting the ultrasonic signal as a channel signal of the corresponding receiving device； a second step of focusing and delaying each channel signal to arrange the channel signals in terms of time； a third step of synthesizing an ultrasonic image by using a summation signal adding up the channel signals arranged in terms of time. The third step is to use a spatial frequency of a sidelobe signal which generates sidelobe, and the number of the receiving devices to calculate the size of corresponding sidelobe, and to synthesize the ultrasonic image by reducing the calculated size of the sidelobe signal from the summation signal.본 발명에 따른 초음파 영상의 부엽 저감방법은 영상점에서 반사된 초음파 신호를 어레이 트랜스듀서 각각의 수신소자에서 수신하고, 이를 해당 수신소자의 채널신호로 출력하는 제1단계, 상기 채널신호를 각각 집속 지연하여 시간적으로 정렬하는 제2단계, 및 상기 시간적으로 정렬된 채널신호를 합산한 합산신호를 이용하여 초음파 영상을 합성하는 제3단계를 포함하되, 상기 제3단계는 부엽을 발생시키는 부엽신호의 공간주파수와 수신소자의 갯수를 이용하여 해당 부엽신호의 크기를 계산하고, 상기 계산된 부엽신호의 크기를 상기 합산신호에서 감산하여 상기 초음파 영상을 합성하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
