PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging controller capable of efficiently positioning a direction for scanning leg parts: to provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus； and to provide an imaging control method.SOLUTION: In an imaging controller, a first scan control part acquires at least one first slice image of leg parts along an almost coronal surface direction. A first determination part determines a direction of a gap between a thighbone and a tibial bone in at least one of the first slice image. A second scan control part acquires at least one second slice image of the leg parts along a direction perpendicular to the gap direction in at least one first slice image. The second determination part determines an axial surface direction on the basis of at least one second slice image. A third scan control part acquires at least one slice image of the leg part along the axial surface direction.【課題】効率よく脚部のスキャン方向を位置決めることができる撮像制御装置、医用画像診断装置及び撮像制御方法を提供すること。【解決手段】実施形態に係る撮像制御装置において、第１のスキャン制御部は、略コロナル面方向に沿った前記脚部の少なくとも一つの第１のスライス画像を取得する。第１の決定部は、前記少なくとも一つの第１のスライス画像における大腿骨と脛骨との間の間隙の方向を決定する。第２のスキャン制御部は、前記少なくとも一つの第１のスライス画像における前記間隙の方向に垂直な方向に沿った前記脚部の少なくとも一つの第２のスライス画像を取得する。第２の決定部は、前記少なくとも一つの第２のスライス画像に基づいて、アキシャル面方向を決定する。第３のスキャン制御部は、前記アキシャル面方向に沿った前記脚部の少なくとも一つのスライス画像を取得する。【選択図】図１
