PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for accelerating the growth of plants, useful for accelerating raising of plants.SOLUTION: The apparatus for accelerating the growth of plants such as fruits and vegetables is provided for accelerating the growth of plants in a place where sunlight irradiation is insufficient. The apparatus includes a super-narrow band light irradiation means that has a peak wavelength between a visible light region and a far-infrared light region and a half-value width of 10 nm or less. The apparatus also includes a control means for controlling the irradiation time and the amount of irradiation light of the super-narrow band light irradiation means. The super-narrow band light irradiation means is disposed so that the emitted light is directed upward, and a convex mirror is disposed ahead of emitted light to irradiate a wide area with the reflection of the convex mirror. The wide area can be thus irradiated to uniformly irradiate all plants with super-narrow band light, thus accelerating the growth of plants.【課題】植物の育成を促進するのに有用な植物成長促進装置を提供する。【解決手段】日光の照射が不十分な場所で、植物育成を促進させるための果物・野菜等の植物成長促進装置であって、可視光域～遠赤外光域のピーク波長を有し、半値幅１０ｎｍ以下の超狭帯域光照射手段を備える。また、超狭帯域光照射手段の照射時間と照射光量を制御する制御手段を備える。また、出射光方向が上向きになるように、超狭帯域光照射手段が配設され、出射光の先に、凸面鏡が設置され、該凸面鏡の反射により広範囲の領域を照射できるようにする。広範囲の領域を照射できることにより、超狭帯域光を植物全体に偏り無く照射させ、植物の育成促進を図る。【選択図】図２
