Systems, apparatus and methods for ophthalmic illuminated infusion lines are provided. An exemplary ophthalmic illuminated infusion line may include an infusion mechanism having a first flexible elongate member and a flow tube. The first flexible elongate member may have a lumen configured to deliver fluid to the patient's eye during a surgical procedure. The flow tube may be sized to penetrate the patient's eye and deliver fluid into the eye to maintain intraocular pressure during the surgical procedure. The ophthalmic illuminated infusion line is also coupled to the infusion mechanism and penetrates the patient's eye with a flow tube and transmits light at the same time the flow tube delivers fluid into the eye during the surgical procedure.
