PURPOSE: A medical composite biomaterial containing collagen and hyaluronic acid derivatives is provided to ensure durability and to effectively treat degenerative arthritis and cartilage damage. CONSTITUTION: A composition contains collagen and hyaluronic acid or a derivative thereof. The collagen is type I collagen and is derived from human umbilical cord. The hyalruonic acid derivative is prepared by crosslinking hyaluronic acid using BDDE(1,4-butandiol diglycidyl ether). A medical composite biomaterial contains the composition. A chondrocyte therapeutic agent contains the stem cells, collagen, and hyaluronic acid or the derivative. The stem cells are cultured in a container coated with cell adhesion proteins using a medium for culturing the stem cells. The cell adhesion protein is the collagen, gelatin, fibronectin, laminin, or poly-D-lysine. A composition for an injection for treating damaged cartilage contains the chondrocyte therapeutic agent.
