PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system which can provide two-way information in an immediate and simple manner for supporting health care.SOLUTION: An information providing system comprises a plurality of portable information terminals 10 and a management server 20. Each portable information terminal 10 includes: biological information measurement means which measures biological information of a user position information obtaining means which obtains position information and terminal control means which makes the respective means measure biological information and obtain position information in response to the reception of an instruction from a user and transmits the obtained information to the management server 20 together with the identification information if the portable information terminal 10.
