The present disclosure relates to chimeric antigen receptors for binding to target antigens. The chimeric antigen receptor comprises a multispecific antibody developed from a wild type antibody or fragment thereof, and (a) reduced activity in analysis under normal physiological conditions compared to the wild type antibody or fragment thereof, and ( b) comprising at least one antigen-specific target region having at least one of increased activity in the analysis under abnormal conditions compared to the wild-type antibody or fragment thereof.
