PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable compositions in the form of O/W type comprising a relatively large amount of ceramide compound, which can provide improved absorption of ceramide compounds by keratinous substances such as skin, or improved penetration of ceramide compounds into keratinous substances such as skin.SOLUTION: Provided is a composition in the form of O/W type comprising: (a) at least one oil； (b) at least one ceramide compound； (c) at least one thickener； and (d) water, the amount of (b) ceramide compound in the composition being 0.8% by mass or more with respect to the total mass of the composition, and the viscosity of the composition being 40 to 1,000 Pa s at 25°C under a shear rate of 0.02 sec-1.
