The present invention is an amorphous form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of ezatiostat, such as ezatiostat hydrochloride, compositions thereof, uses thereof, and methods of preparation thereof. The present invention is directed to an amorphous form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of ezatiostat that has sufficient stability and solubility in the form of a pharmaceutical composition. Accordingly, in one aspect of the composition, an amorphous form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of ezatiostat is provided. In one embodiment, the amorphous form is a non-solvate.
