PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform setting of a frame rate while suppressing increase in power consumption of a capsule endoscope.SOLUTION: A wireless communication unit 211 includes a plurality of antenna elements 221 and performs transmission and reception of signals with a capsule endoscope on which setting of a frame rate can be performed. A storage unit 214 holds a position database for showing relation between coordinates and the frame rate. A position estimation unit 213 estimates a position of the capsule endoscope by using a signal level of a signal received by the wireless communication unit 211. When distance between coordinates included in the database held by the storage unit 214 and the position of the capsule endoscope estimated by the position estimation unit 213 is smaller than a predetermined distance threshold, a frame rate setting unit 215 sets a frame rate corresponding to the coordinates.
