PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit lamp capable of coping with the burn-out of a bulb, even if light sources for slit illumination are burned out in bulbs, and capable of continuously observing an eye of a person to be tested.SOLUTION: The slit lamp comprises a slit illumination unit having the first light source which emits white light for slit-illuminating the eye of the person to be tested, and also having an illumination optical system for illuminating the eye of the person to be tested with the light emitted from the first light source via a slit and a lens, and observes the eye of the person to be tested which is illuminated with the slit illumination light.
