The present invention discloses a vaccine or immunogenic composition that canbe administred to latently infectedindividuals to prevent reactivation of latent tuberculosis infection caused byspecies of the tuberculosis complex microorganisms(Mycobacterium tuberculosis., M.bovis, M.africanum), The invention is base ona number of M. tuberculosis derived proteins andprotein fragments which are constitutively expressed in different stages ofthe infection. The invention is directed to the use ofthese polypeptides, immunologically active fragments thereof and the genesencoding them for immunological compositions suchas vaccines.
