PURPOSE: A composition containing phospholipase C gamma or an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor as an active ingredient for preventing or treating hypertension is provided to suppress excessive vasoconstriction, and to be used as a superior hypertension therapeutic agent (or vasodilator). CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating hypertension contains a phospholipase C gamma inhibitor as an active ingredient. The inhibitor is U73122 or neomycin. A method for identifying an agent for preventing or treating hypertension or a vasodilator compound comprises the steps of: contacting phospholipase C gamma with one or more test compounds； measuring reduction of the activity of phospholipase C gamma； and identifying an agent for preventing or treating hypertension or a vasodilator compound when the activity is reduced. A composition for preventing or treating hypertension contains an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor as an active ingredient.본 발명은 포스포리파제 C감마 또는 표피성장인자 수용체 저해제를 유효성분으로 포함하는 고혈압 치료 또는 예방용 조성물 또는 혈관 확장제 조성물에 관한 것이다.
