In der vorliegenden Erfindung wird ein Bewegtbild einer durch ein Objekt stimulierten Menschenmenge eingegeben (S1). Auf der Grundlage des Bewegtbilds wird das Vorhandensein von die Menschenmenge bildenden Personen erkannt (S2). Der Puls der Person wird auf der Grundlage einer Luminanzänderung der Haut der Person im Bewegtbild erhalten (S3). Ein Attribut der Person im Bewegtbild wird erkannt (S4 und S5). Der Puls der Person wird korrigiert, um eine vom Attribut abhängige Pulsdifferenz zu beseitigen (S6). Ein statistischer Verarbeitungswert des Pulses der Menschenmenge wird durch statistisches Verarbeiten des korrigierten Pulses der Person erhalten (S7). Ein numerischer Index, der dem statistischen Verarbeitungswert des Pulses der Menschenmenge entspricht, wird als Grad des Interesses ausgegeben (S9 und S10).A moving image of a crowd stimulated by an object is input.
