The invention relates to a method for estimating the dose administered by an external radiotherapy system. The portal image supplied by the EPID detector is converted into a dose at a depth of reference in water, by means of a simple conversion formula. Conversely, the corresponding portal image can be determined from a distribution of a nominal dose, under the same irradiation conditions. The invention can especially be applied to the verification of a treatment plan.L'invention concerne une méthode d'estimation de la dose délivrée par un système de radiothérapie externe. L'image portale fournie par le détecteur EPID est convertie en dose à une profondeur de référence dans l'eau, au moyen d'une simple formule de conversion. Réciproquement à partir d'une distribution de dose de consigne, il est possible de déterminer l'image portale correspondante, dans les mêmes conditions d'irradiation. L'invention peut notamment s'appliquer à la vérification d'un plan de traitement.
