PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographic image capturing apparatus quickly detecting a start of application of radiation, and accurately detecting the radiation applied with a radiation field narrowed.SOLUTION: A control means 22 of this radiographic image capturing apparatus 1, before capturing a radiographic image, alternately and repeatedly performs a leak data dleak reading process, and a reset process of respective radiation detecting elements 7, wherein the leak data dleak reading process includes applying an OFF voltage to all scan lines 5 from a scan driving means 15, causing a read circuit 17 to read with respective switch means 8 turned off, and converting a charge q leaked from the radiation detecting elements 7 into leak data dleak via the switch means 8 and, when the read leak data dleak exceeds a threshold dleak_th, detects the start of the application of the radiation.
