PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience, and to impart an added value to a telephone.SOLUTION: The fixed telephone or the portable telephone with a liquid crystal screen is incorporated with an infrared sensor 107 at its receiving part 112, and detects an infrared rays emitted from an eardrum 3 and its periphery by making the receiving part 112 closely contact with an ear 2 of a user 1 similarly as telephone conversation, and measures a temperature of the user.
