An object of the present invention is to provide an antibody that inhibits infection with hepatitis C virus (HCV). The present invention recognizes and binds all or part of the three-dimensional structure of hepatitis C virus particles as an epitope, thereby inhibiting the binding of hepatitis C virus to the host cell surface and inhibiting HCV infection.
