The present invention relates to a defibrillator comprising a discharge circuit for reducing a driving current and an operation method of the same, and more specifically, to a defibrillator comprising a discharge circuit for reducing a driving current, in which a device such as a plurality of electronic switches is added to a discharge circuit for discharging the voltage charged in the defibrillator so as to reduce the driving current of a mechanical switch for discharging and to an operation method of the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the defibrillator comprising a discharge circuit for reducing a driving current comprises: a charge unit charging electricity for defibrillation an electrode unit outputting the electricity charged in the charge unit a discharge unit connected to a discharge means through a switch to discharge the electricity charged in the charge unit and a control unit controlling the discharge by controlling on/off of the switch, wherein the discharge unit may further include a driving current saving circuit which is turned on to save the internal current when the switch is turned on.본 발명은 구동전류 절감을 위한 방전회로를 포함하는 제세동기 및 이의 구동방법으로서, 보다 구체적으로는 제세동기 내 충전된 전압을 방전하는 방전회로에 복수의 전자식 스위치와 같은 구성을 부가하여 방전을 위한 기계식 스위치의 구동전류를 절감할 수 있도록 한 방전회로를 포함하는 제세동기 및 이의 구동방법에 관한 것이다.보다 구체적으로 본 발명의 일실시예에 따르면, 제세동을 위한 전기를 충전하는 충전부 상기 충전부에 충전된 전기를 출력하는 전극부 스위치를 통해 방전수단과 연결됨으로써 상기 충전부에 충전된 전기를 방전하는 방전부 및 상기 스위치의 온/오프를 제어하여 방전을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하고, 상기 방전부는 상기 스위치가 온되면 도통되어 내부 전류를 보존하는 구동 전류 절감회로를 더 포함하여 이루어질 수 있다.
