PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter type endoscope equipped with an electrical connection structure which is easily placed on a distal end adapter and a distal end of the endoscope and enables a reduction in diameter of the distal end adapter and the distal end of the endoscope.
SOLUTION: The adapter type endoscope is equipped with the distal end adapter having an LED 14 and an endoscope insertion portion having the distal end and terminal members electrically connected to a power source for supplying power to the LED 14 in the distal end. An endoscope side electrical connector 40 having the plurality of terminal members arranged adjacently as they remain insulated is provided on the distal end, and an adapter side electrical connector 20 which is constituted by adjacently arranging a second pin member, abutting on a plurality of terminal members of the connector 40, as they remain insulated on one end side and by adjacently arranging a first pin member 21, electrically connected to a flexible substrate 19 connected to the LED 14, as they remain insulated on the other end side is provided on the distal end adapter.
