The present invention relates to an LED lighting device having an air purifying function using ultraviolet rays. The LED lighting device is also used as an air conditioner. By using an ultraviolet LED which can replace a bactericidal function with a conventional ultraviolet discharge lamp, mold, viruses, and bacteria in the air are killed, and thus the air purification function is implemented. At the same time, ultraviolet rays, which are emitted from the ultraviolet LED, are irradiated onto a diffuser plate with a fluorescent substance applied thereto, thereby exciting visible rays and utilizing light thereof as an indoor lighting. A conventional ultraviolet air purifying technology has a disadvantage that the size of the outer appearance thereof becomes large and the weight thereof becomes heavy as an ultraviolet discharge lamp or ultraviolet LED part for an air purifying function and a visible ray LED part for a lighting function are respectively included. Also, the conventional ultraviolet air purifying technology has a disadvantage that costs of a power terminal rise and more energy is consumed as two kinds of LEDs are driven. According to the present invention, presented is a method capable of providing an LED lighting device with an economical air purifying function by overcoming the disadvantage of the conventional technology by simultaneously implementing two functions as an ultraviolet LED and a fluorescent substance are used.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017본 발명은 자외선을 이용하여 공기를 정화하는 기능을 갖춘 LED 조명기기에 관한 것으로서, 기존의 자외선 방전램프를 이용한 살균기능을 대신할 수 있는 자외선 LED를 이용하여 공기 중의 곰팡이, 바이러스 및 박테리아를 사멸시켜 공기 정화 기능을 구현하며 동시에 자외선 LED에서 발광된 자외선을 형광체가 도포된 확산판에 조사하여 가시광선을 여기 시켜 그 빛을 실내조명으로 활용하는 공기 정화기 겸용 조명기기이다. 기존의 자외선 공기 정화기술은 공기 정화 기능을 위한 자외선 방전램프 또는 자외선 LED 부분과 조명기능을 위한 가시광선 LED 부분을 각각 구비함으로서 외관의 크기가 커지고 중량이 무거워지는 단점이 있었다. 또한 두 종류의 LED를 구동하므로 전원단의 비용이 상승되고 에너지 소모가 많아지는 단점이 있었다. 본 발명에서는 자외선 LED와 형광체를 이용하여 두 가지 기능을 동시에 구현함으로서 기존 기술의 단점을 극복하여 경제적인 공기 정화 기능을 갖춘 LED 조명기기 보급이 가능한 방법을 제시하였다.
