PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for solving such a problem that a user lands its lower limb in an idling state on the ground before a four joint link structure is switched to a knee bend inhibiting state from a knee bend permitting state.SOLUTION: The walking assist device 1 includes the four joint link structure L. The four joint link structure L can be switched between the knee bend inhibiting state in which knee bend is inhibited by substantially inhibiting bend between an upper link 20 and a lower link 21 and a knee bend permitting state in which knee bend is permitted by substantially permitting bend between the upper link 20 and the lower link 21.
