PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod-shaped expanded food product rich in flavor and free of irregularity in color or taste.SOLUTION: The method of producing an expanded food product 1 includes: a step of producing an additive-impregnated material in which an additive-impregnated material 7 is produced by impregnating a grain raw material 3 with a liquid additive 5 a step of continuously producing an intermediate expanded material in which the produced additive-impregnated material 7 is charged in an extrusion molding machine 23, heated and blended, and instantaneously discharged outside after pressurized, and an intermediate expanded material 17 is produced continuously and quantitatively a rod-molding step in which the produced intermediate expanded material 17 is hardened while being linearly drawn by a transfer means 20 to be molded into a rod shape, and a cutting step in which the intermediate expanded material 17 molded into a rod shape is cut to a predetermined length.
