The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for screening anticancer drugs that use novel treatment mechanisms, and an anticancer drug that induces cell death and uses a substance that increases the activity of granzyme M as an active ingredient. This method for screening anticancer drugs comprises: a step for administering test substances to cancer cells a step for detecting the activity of granzyme M in which cancer cells are expressed, and selecting test substances for which an increase in activity has been verified and/or a step for detecting the presence or absence of cancer cell death induced by the activation of granzyme M in which cancer cells are expressed, and selecting test substances for which cell death has been verified.본 발명의 목적은 신규 치료 기구를 이용한 항암제의 스크리닝 방법, 그리고 granzyme M 의 활성을 증대하는 물질을 유효 성분으로 하는 세포사를 유도하는 항암제를 제공하는 것이다.본 발명에 관련된 항암제의 스크리닝 방법은 피검 물질을 암 세포에 투여하는 공정과, 암 세포가 발현하는 granzyme M 의 활성을 검출하고, 활성의 증대가 확인된 피검 물질을 선택하는 공정, 및/또는 암 세포가 발현하는 granzyme M 의 활성화에 의해 유도되는 암 세포의 세포사의 유무를 검출하고, 세포사가 확인된 피검 물질을 선택하는 공정을 갖는다.
