FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in splinting teeth for gum isolation of chronic generalized and localized periodontitis. Periodontal tissues state and degree of teeth mobility are determined. It is diagnosed on the basis of clinical and X-ray examinations. It involves anesthesia, occupational oral hygiene, anti-inflammatory therapy, splinting. Before splinting, teeth are depulpation. Gum isolation method is used to protect gum from injury during splinting. One performs mixing of two components of silicone impression mass to obtain homogeneous mass, from which rectangular block is formed and left to hardening. Width of the interdental space is then measured with a micrometer and the measurement data are transferred to a silicone block. After that, brushes in the form of wedges of the required size are cut and inserted into interdental spaces of the patient.
