PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domain definer which enables a highly precise extraction of a domain belonging to a prescribed constituent part from an image of an object.
SOLUTION: The device is provided with a contrast image acquisition part which acquires a contrast image showing the object with a contrast medium applied, a non-contrast image acquisition part which acquires a non-contrast image showing the object without the application of the contrast medium and a domain defining part which defines the domain belonging to a prescribed constituent part making up the object. The contrast image has a higher image density not only in a bone domain belonging to a bone of the object but also in some non-bone domains belonging to an organ, a blood vessel, a lesion and the like. However, the non-contrast image has a higher image density in the bone domain as compared with the non-bone domain. By utilizing such a characteristic, the domain belonging to a bone or the like can be defined on the contrast image easily and at a higher precision.
