PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milk substitute for a calf which supplys an energy source having high internal energy efficiency to the calf under three months, raises the internal protein utilization, and improves the growth results of the calf.
SOLUTION: The milk substitutde for the calf is designed to adjust the linolenic acid content in the whole feed to 0.1-1.0 wt.%, the ratio of the linoleic acid/linolenic acid to 3-10, and further the ratio of threonine/lysine to 50-80%.
