PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a fired shell capable of generating carbon radicals.SOLUTION: The shell of a scallop is crushed to obtain a shell crushed product. Thereafter, the shell crushed product is subjected to firing (single firing) at a holding temperature of 580 to 620°C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere.
