PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which can easily and reliably reshape an end part of the guide wire and is excellent in torque transmission property.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 includes: a wire body 10 which is long and flexible and a coil 5 which is provided in the way that it covers an outer periphery of at least an end part of the wire body 10 and forms a strand 54 in a spiral shape. The end part of the wire body 10 has a loop-shaped loop part 26. The loop part 26 constitutes a reshape part that can be reshaped. The loop part 26 is in a long shape in a longitudinal direction of the wire body 10.
