The present invention relates to a composition including emodin 3-O-clucoside as an effective component for enhancing or controlling immunity. More specifically, the emodin 3-O-clucoside considerably increases the secretion of TNF- and IL-6, the expression of iNOS, and the generation of nitric oxide and controls an MAPK signal delivery channel, and thus, the composition is able to have excellent immunity enhancement activity.본 발명은 에모딘 3-O-글루코시드(Emodin 3-O-glucoside)을 유효성분으로 포함하는 면역조절 또는 면역증강용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 상기 에모딘 3-O-글루코시드(Emodin 3-O-glucoside)가 TNF-?와 IL-6의 분비량, iNOS의 발현 및 Nitric oxide의 발생량을 현저히 증가시키고 MAPK 신호전달경로를 조절함으로써 면역증강 활성이 우수한 조성물에 관한 것이다.
