PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire capable of preventing a flat part formed at front end part from twisting while securing shaping easiness.SOLUTION: In the medical guide wire 1A, the first connecting part 5A for connecting an outside coil body 3A and the flat part 20A is arranged at the position spaced apart from the frontmost end part 4 of the flat part 20A formed at the front end part of the core shaft 2 to the base end direction. The flat part 20A hardly deforms around the axial line of the core shaft 2 and the twist of the flat part 20A is prevented because the flat part 20A and the outside coil body 3A are connected via the first connecting part 5A.
