In general, an intermittent forward pushing and backward pulling mechanism is unable to perform a whole circle movement due to the problems of the mechanism itself or the site. Theoretically, it is further required to provide a driving function in backward pulling. However, the existent rocker wheelchair is only provided with a forward pushing power, and thus is idle to return in backward pulling, resulting in discontinuous force application and inefficient operation. The patent application number 104110374 filed on March 31, 2015 discloses the use of one rocker to drive two linkage rods and to further drive two ratchets for converting the backward pulling to the driving of forward pushing, so as to alternate with the front driving of forward pushing to form a whole circle driving thereby solving the problem. However, the design of the switch, ratchets and gearbox is not satisfactory and needs to be improved.
