According to the present invention, make bone even into its inside by the deviation for preventing calcium phosphate granules to be distributed, enter bone largely inside it and making at the stomata inside bone renovating material what basic connected state, increase exposing area of the calcium phosphate granules in the stomata inside bone renovating material, so that bone be promoted to enter inside it.本發明提供一種多孔質骨修復材料,其特徵在於,由幾丁質或其衍生物形成的纖維集合體構成,且前述集合體的纖維間承載有磷酸鈣顆粒。本發明還提供一種多孔質骨修復材料的製造方法,其特徵在於,具有:幾丁質或其衍生物形成纖維的工序、在真空中交聯該纖維的工序、把該交聯纖維與磷酸鈣顆粒以及該交聯纖維的保水量以下的水相混合而形成大致均勻的混合物的工序、凍結乾燥該混合物而成為多孔性材料的工序。根據本發明,通過防止磷酸鈣顆粒分佈的偏差而使骨均勻進入其內部,通過使骨修復材料內部的氣孔處於基本連通狀態而使骨大量進入其內部,增大磷酸鈣顆粒在骨修復材料內部的氣孔內的露出面積,從而促進骨進入其內部。
