This invention relates to a method for isolating collagen from animal material, including jellyfish, the method comprising (a) drying collagen containing material and processing the dried material to produce a powder, (b) dissolving the powder in an acid solution, (c) adding riboflavin to the acid solution, (d) subjecting the acid solution to UV radiation or blue light having a wavelength in the range of about 350 nm to about 500 nm to produce a collagen precipitate, and (e) separating the collagen precipitate of step (d) from the solution and optionally drying the precipitate.La présente invention concerne un procédé disolement de collagène à partir dun matériau animal, y compris des méduses, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : (a) sécher le matériau contenant du collagène et traiter le matériau séché pour produire une poudre, (b) dissoudre la poudre dans une solution acide, (c) ajouter de la riboflavine à la solution acide, (d) soumettre la solution acide à un rayonnement UV ou à une lumière bleue ayant une longueur donde dans la plage denviron 350 nm à environ 500 nm pour produire un précipité de collagène, et (e) séparer le précipité de collagène de létape (d) de la solution et éventuellement sécher le précipité.
