Provided is a hollow fiber membrane-based blood purification apparatus containing a hollow fiber membrane containing a polysulfone-based resin 1, a hydrophilic polymer 2, and a fat-soluble vitamin 5, the hollow fiber membrane-based blood purification apparatus being radiation-sterilized, wherein an abundance of the fat-soluble vitamin 5 in a surface of the hollow fiber membrane is 0.5 mg or more and 25 mg or less based on 1 g of the hollow fiber membrane, and the hollow fiber membrane is covered with an aqueous hydrophilic compound solution 3 or water having a 60% to a saturated liquid content (inclusive) based on a dry weight of the hollow fiber membrane. The resulting polysulfone-based hollow fiber membrane-based blood purification apparatus exhibits a high level of blood compatibility and excellent antioxidative properties, eliminates the need for oxygen concentration control during sterilization, and is highly productive.
