PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corneal endothelium photographing apparatus which evaluates a photographed state of images acquired by serial shooting and controls the photographing light quantity from the evaluation result to acquire images of corneal endothelial cells with a higher degree of accuracy.

SOLUTION: The corneal endothelium photographing apparatus is equipped with a luminance information acquisition means 144 for acquiring luminance information of pixels in a prescribed region of a photographed image and image evaluation means 146, 150, 152 for evaluating the photographed state of the corneal endothelium in the photographed image based on the luminance information acquired by the means 144 and controls the light quantity of a light source for photographing from the results by the means 144 and the image evaluation means 146, 150, 152.
