PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airway maintenance device that can be actuated in a short time without giving much burden on a user.SOLUTION: An airway maintenance device 1 comprises: a body part 6 provided with an occipital region support part 7 for supporting an occipital region 5 of a person to be rescued 2 lying on his or her back, and a side head part pressing part 9 for pressing a side head part 8 of the person to be rescued 2 whose occipital region 5 is supported by the occipital region support part 7 and a back part support base 11 connected to the body part 6 for supporting a back part 10 of the person to be rescued 2. The side head part pressing part 9 is provided with a contact member 40 that comes in contact with the side head part 8, and a pair of brackets 41 and 41 in which a notch 47 is formed on the edge face of the outside, and to which the contact member 40 is attached.
