CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating a fatty liver contains Castaneae crenata shell extract as an active ingredient. The fatty liver is an alcoholic fatty liver. The pharmaceutical composition additionally contains a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. A composition for suppressing fatty acid synthetase(FAS) activation contains Castaneae crenata shell extract as an active ingredient.
