PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waste occurring when redundancy is imparted to components of a fluid injection device.SOLUTION: A fluid injection device comprises: a first fluid injection section injecting a fluid in a pulsed manner in response to a first driving signal a second fluid injection section injecting the fluid in the pulsed manner in response to a second driving signal a first fluid supply section supplying the fluid via a first flow passage to the first fluid injection section a second fluid supply section supplying the fluid via a second flow passage to the second fluid injection section a first fluid injection control section executing a first preparation operation bringing the fluid in the first flow passage into a predetermined state and subsequently outputting the first driving signal a second fluid injection control section executing a second preparation operation bringing the fluid in the second flow passage into the predetermined state and subsequently outputting the second driving signal and an abnormality detection section detecting abnormality occurring in any of the first fluid injection section, the first fluid supply section, the first flow passage and the first fluid injection control section.
