PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide artificial leather used as a skin material of a ball which has a markedly excellent grip performance when dry as well as an excellent grip performance when wet.SOLUTION: The artificial leather comprises a fiber fabric, a grain layer laminated on the fiber fabric and comprising a polymer elastomer, and a skin layer covering the grain layer. The skin layer is a film that contains a polyurethane component comprising 30-80 mass% of polyurethane having a 100% modulus of 1 MPa or less and hollow nano silica particles having an average primary particle diameter of 200-300 nm and has an average thickness of 0.1-5 μm.
