PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush having superior durability, having cleaning property of the whole oral cavity such as the dental crown part smooth face, and compatibly attaining reach property and cleaning property for areas such as interdentium, gingiva marginal part, and pit and fissure part of the molar teeth, whose plaque control is hard to be conducted.SOLUTION: This toothbrush is so formed that brush bristles constituted of synthetic resin filament with a tapered part formed at its tip part fill transplant holes on a transplant base, the length (a) of a tapered part 42 of the brush bristle 4 is 5-15 times of the diameter (b) of the maximum diameter part 43 of the filament, the diameter (c) of a site positioned at 0.1 mm from the tip 41 is 20-60% of the diameter (b) of the filament maximum diameter part, and the diameter (d) of a site positioned in 1/2 of the length (a) of the tapered part 42 from the tip 41 is 40-80% of the diameter (b) of the filament maximum diameter part.
