The tissue ablation apparatus 10 includes a probe 12 and a catheter with a plurality of wires 24 journaled through a catheter 26 having a proximal end connected to an active terminal 16 of the generator 14. And a distal end protruding from the distal end. The probe wire end portions 24a are arranged in an arrangement with radially positioned end portions 24a and are evenly spaced from the catheter end portion 26a. Lead 22 connected to the return terminal 18 of the generator is positioned in the probe wire array 28 for forming a closed electrical circuit through the tissue to be abbreviated. The probe wire array 28 preferably has 10-wires each formed arcuate from the catheter distal end 26a.
