Provided is a liquid crystal aligning agent which can uniformly express several sorts of characteristics required for a liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal aligning agent includes at least one kind of polymer which is obtained by reacting tetracarbon acid dihydride and the like with diamine including a compound represented by Formula (d) and which is selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid, polyamic acid ester, and polyimide.
