The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions foradministration to the nasal tract. In particular, the invention relates to drypowder compositions comprising cellulose, and in particularhyroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), and one or more therapeutic agents. It hasbeen shown that administration of HPMC to the nasal cavity is capable ofenhancing natural mucus. These powders, and the gel that forms when they areadministered to the nasal tract, have now surprisingly been found to be a veryeffective way of intranasally administering therapeutic agents, and inparticular, herbal or homeopathic agents.
