The Lactobacillus fermentum MG4231 strain or MG4244 strain of the present invention exhibits anti-obesity activity that inhibits lipase enzyme activity, preadipocyte differentiation and neutral lipid accumulation, has high autoaggregation ability to thus show excellent colony formation ability on the epithelial cells of the digestive tract, and is resistant to acid and bile. Thereby, the Lactobacillus fermentum MG4231 strain or the MG4244 strain can be variously utilized in a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention and treatment of obesity-related diseases, and a food composition, quasi-drug composition and functional health food.
