A method for quantifying the viscoelasticity of a medium, comprising: obtaining a position-time graph of vibration propagation after a medium is excited by vibration; determining the angle for which the signal energy is greatest in the position-time graph by using an angle projection, the angle for which the signal energy is greatest corresponding to the slope of the position-time graph, and the slope of the position-time graph being the propagation speed of the vibration within the medium; since the propagation speed of the vibration within the medium is related to the viscoelasticity of the medium, viscoelasticity parameters of the medium may be quantitatively calculated after obtaining the slope of the position-time graph. By means of the method, the slope of the position-time graph is calculated without needing to select feature points within the position-time graph, and thereby noise interference is not experienced and the amount of calculation is small, thus medium viscoelasticity quantification may be performed efficiently and accurately.
