The present invention relates to a microwave thawing apparatus and a control method for the same. In particular, the microwave thawing apparatus generates, from a microwave generator (SSPM), microwaves of significantly lower frequencies compared with the frequencies used in a typical microwave, to enable frozen foods to be efficiently and evenly thawed in a short time to its almost natural state ready be cooked immediately.
